Parenting Groups
We run two different attachment-theory courses for parents/carers of different age groups.
Circle of Security Parenting Groups
As parents, we have all asked questions like: Why would they behave like that? What am I supposed to do now? Why is this so hard? Circle of Security Parenting© Groups (COS-P) are designed to give parents ‘a map’ for understanding and responding to their children’s emotional needs. They help us focus on the most important thing of all - our relationship with our children.
We run Circle of Security Parenting Groups every school term in a number of different settings. The live groups run for eight weeks and usually have between 10-12 parents/carers per group. The online groups have a maximum of 6 people. There is a mixture of DVD material and facilitator led discussion.
"The course can revolutionise the way you relate to your children"
"I was able to reflect on my past experiences and learn how best to respond to my child's needs to create a secure attachment. Having just begun my parenting journey 2 months ago, I am certain I will continue to refer to the principles of this programme for many years to come."
"It has helped us navigate through toddler-hood together and strengthened our relationship considerably."
Connected Teens
If you are parenting a teenager you'll know that they can be amazingly passionate, determined and delightful one moment and sad, defiant and downright reckless the next.
Join 6 online sessions, to take time to think about what's going on for both you and your teen and get an understanding of the brain changes kicked off in adolescence, as well as understanding the ongoing importance of your role as parents.
It's suitable for any parent or carer struggling to understand their teenager or manage their behaviour and will give you vital ‘emotional first aid training’ to enhance your teenager’s wellbeing.
People who have done the course have said:
It helped them understand their teen better, reduced conflict and strengthened their relationship with them.
